Designing Monitoring and Evaluation Approaches: An FOS How-To Guide

This "how-to" guidance document provides high-level guidance on designing monitoring and evaluation approaches for conservation projects and programs. It includes many concepts and terminology related to M&E design. We define M&E design as the approach a team takes to structure monitoring and/or evaluation – including sampling methods, use (or not) of controls and comparisons, timing of interventions, and timing of observations.
