An increasing emphasis on demonstrating results across the conservation community prompted WWF to develop and implement a strong and consistent process for measuring conservation success across its global network. These efforts led to the WWF Standards for Conservation Project and Programme Management—a set of standards for doing adaptive management that draws on the CMP Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation. FOS was closely involved in efforts to communicate and institutionalize the Standards. This included helping to develop guides on implementing the Standards and facilitating online training courses through the WWF Online Campus. These courses involved practitioners from various countries, including Kenya, Cameroon, Pakistan, Mongolia, Mexico, Colombia, Canada, Austria, Poland, and Australia. Participants used the courses to develop well-articulated strategic plans, many of which were then put into action.
