Tour du Valat

After a successful first Adaptive Site Management workshop in Savonlina, Finland, FOS and Eurosite decided to organize a second workshop hosted by Tour du Valat in France. Five full days of training and lots of enthusiasm helped teams from England (Natural England), Sweden (SEPA) and the Czech Republic (Sumava National Park) develop the core components of their site management plans. Capacity of coaches from Sweden, Germany, Spain, Greece and France were built during the process. These coaches are now all part of a European Network of Coaches that have joined forces to jointly further the practice of adaptive management in Europe. The next workshop will be held in November 2010 at lake Kerkini in Greece.
