Nico joined the FOS team in 2016 and manages FOS’s programmatic work in Europe together with Ilke. He’s based in Östersund, Sweden and he’s passionate about mountain sports. Over the last years, Nico has strongly focused on working with protected areas and on evidence-based learning about conservation strategies. Before he started working with FOS, Nico was responsible for planning, monitoring and evaluation at WWF Germany. Nico has dedicated the past fifteen years of his professional life to building adaptive management capacity with conservationists. He has served as a lecturer for bachelor and master students and co-founded the European Conservation Coaches Network (CCNet).
