Shawn Peabody is a Portfolio Director at Environmental Incentives LLC, a B Corp-certified consulting firm that partners with clients to design tailored solutions that create the conditions for human and natural communities to thrive. He has more than 15 years of professional experience managing, implementing and consulting on development assistance programs, a deep understanding of organizational learning systems, and technical expertise in multiple sectors.

Currently, he is Chief of Party for USAID’s Program Cycle Mechanism, an $80 Million capacity strengthening contract that is helping the Agency to change how it designs, implements, and learns from its programs. Previously, he led consulting teams within Environmental Incentives to provide high-quality technical assistance to USAID and other donors. Prior to Environmental Incentives, Shawn spent nearly a decade working on locally-led conservation programs in Madagascar. 

Shawn earned an MBA in Global Business from Georgetown University and a B.A. in Environmental Policy from the University of Maryland, College Park. He speaks English and Malagasy.

Shawn joined the FoS board in 2022 after partnering extensively with FoS team members over the years both with Environmental Incentives and previously from his time in Madagascar. He also serves on the board of American Friends of Blue Ventures Conservation.
