Claire joined the FOS team in mid-2023. Based in Cape Town, South Africa, Claire expands the FOS Collective’s presence to the African continent. Claire’s passion for conservation was inspired through exploration of the natural world, most notably the oceans, mountains, and savannas of Africa. Before joining FOS, Claire worked as an in-house Conservation Scientist and Coach at NGOs based in Africa and the UK. Claire is particularly interested in supporting teams to monitor and evaluate effectiveness, undertake data analysis, present scientific data, and scale up impact data from project to institutional levels. She has worked widely in Africa and more globally in recent years. Claire co-leads the Conservation Coaches Africa Regional Network and works as a coordinator for the Conservation Measures Partnership.
